This download consists of the Upgrade Guide (pdf) and the tutorial models. The models install in Help>LearnRhino>Open Tutorial Models. This is a 'must' for your students who want to explore some of the new features in Rhino V4.
..........
Click "Red CD" (above) to see the 'splash screen'. Make sure your I.T. folks put the RED CD in the drive when installing V4 Rhino. Put the User Guide, L1 and L2 training manuals in a place that is accessible by your students. Compatibility Service Releases will make Flamingo, Penguin, and Bongo work in V4 Rhino.
...........................
The Layout command is called three different things in Rhino. PageLayout is in the View menu. The toolbar is called SheetLayout. To help, create an alias named PageLayout. Repeat the process and create an alias named SheetLayout too. So, if a student types Layout, PageLayout, or SheetLayout, the command will work correctly.
..........
A few nice tools for working with PageLayouts. Revision Cloud, Hide objects 'byLayer' in a detail, Modify circles and arcs tool. There are others, but these are a few that work very well when creating a set of drawings.
..........
Create blocks of the parts. Insert them when needed. And, as a rule, Save Small. Ferndale HS student created a 309meg model. After Save Small it was 201megs. After creating 'blocks' of the repeated parts, the file size went to 45megs. As a rule, encourage your students to 'Save Small' to reduce file sizes on your server.

This tutorial, located in the Rhino Help menu, consists of 24 separate tutorials.
The 'Introduction' tutorial broken up into 24 separate pdf files
...........................
Located on the Red Rhino CD contains some very good tutorials. Turn your students loose with them. This is completely new in V4 Rhino. The tutorial models are great teaching tools.
...........................
Toolbars that are missing for one reason or another? Type this command in Rhino V4. This command will restore the missing toolbars.
